Finally I put to "paper" an idea I've had in my head for a while. I took some artistic liberties with Calvin. Morphing the short chubby Calvin boy into a lean adult produced this.

With Hobbes always at his side, they fight crime above the law.

For some reason, there's just something about giving Hobbes a gun that I find slightly unsettling... but at least I can be reasonably sure that he'll only use it when necessary, like if those darn tyrannosaurs in F14s start terrorizing cities again!

Lol thanks. I'm entertaining the idea of making a "noir" segment of the two of them on a case. Like Calvin talking to his Hobbes plush while looking over a crime scene and the other investigators talk amongst themselves like "I know it looks odd, but don't question his methods... He's the best PI in the city!"

While I do very much like the artwork (as I'm an avid "Calvin & Hobbes" fan), I found myself doing a search on the Internet for reports of Bill Watterson's death, as you've captioned the property as belonging to the "late" Bill Watterson.

I'm unable to find any reference to him being dead -- every article lists him as alive and living with his wife -- so if you wouldn't mind explaining the "late" to me? Please?

Well whaddaya know... Looking into it, it seems he's not dead yet. Hmmm. I seem to remeber being informed of his passing a while ago... I guess I should have verified that... ^__^;

hmmmm. Maybe it was Charles Schultz...

I thought he did, but it now seems he didn't. I got him mixed up with another comic artist that passed away recently.
